I
have had a passion for photography since the late nineteen sixties when
I purchased a camera to photograph my first-born daughter. I quickly
found that just making family images did not satisfy my creative photographic
appetite. Since these early days my interests and pursuits have mostly
been in the photo treasure hunt. I love to wander in and around cities
investigating and capturing images about how we build and decorate our
environments. I find beauty in things mundane to the majestic.
I am originally from the San Francisco Bay area. San Francisco State
University is my alma mater, graduating with a Masters degree in Art
in 1978. I have been teaching and exhibiting since the mid 1970’s.
I have taught Photography at Palomar College, near San Diego, since
1989.
Enjoy,
Robert Barry
